"It was in 1973, the 14th of October, late in the afternoon. It was a rather fine Sunday under the big top erected in the Parc de la Pépinière in Nancy. It was the “birth” of the piece, the first time the world heard it and it remained, up until today, the only one to be ordered to the composer and trumpet player Ivan JULLIEN for the first international festival “Nancy-Jazz-Pulsations.”
